血栓素A2（TXA2）參與血小板聚集、血管收縮和生殖功能，但在生理條件下半衰期僅為37秒。血栓素B2（TXB2）是TXA2非酶促水合作用的穩(wěn)定產(chǎn)物，因此體內(nèi)TXA2的產(chǎn)生通常通過測量TXB2及其代謝產(chǎn)物2,3-二酮TXB2來監(jiān)測。11-脫氫-TXB2是血栓素B2（TXB2）的主要代謝產(chǎn)物，在尿液和血漿中發(fā)現(xiàn)。
