膠體滴定（colloid titration） 是一種簡單、快速、準(zhǔn)確的測(cè)定高分子聚合物電荷的方法。Potassium Polyvinyl Sulfate（聚乙烯硫酸鉀''PVSK）于水中可形成帶負(fù)電的膠體顆粒，Glycol Chitosan（GC）或Methyl Glycol Chitosan（MGC）在酸性水溶液中帶正電，利用電性中和的原理，負(fù)電膠體顆粒的會(huì)與正電膠體顆粒反應(yīng)達(dá)到電性中和。在適當(dāng)?shù)膒H條件下，此兩種膠體可*反應(yīng)形成不溶性沉淀物。使用甲苯胺藍(lán)（Toluidine Blue''TB）為指示劑，與正電性膠體混合時(shí)，兩者之間沒有反應(yīng)，TB維持藍(lán)色；當(dāng)懸浮液中膠體帶負(fù)電時(shí)，TB會(huì)吸附于膠體表面而現(xiàn)紫色。
滴定時(shí)，正電膠體可直接以PVSK溶液為滴定液，TB為指示劑進(jìn)行滴定；對(duì)于負(fù)電荷膠體，可以直接以Glycol Chitosan 或MGC滴定，或加入已知的過量的正電膠體，再以PVSK溶液對(duì)剩余的正電膠體進(jìn)行反滴定。
